Working on BGLJ enables students who are interested in intersectional feminist scholarship to engage in a rich academic and social community. We regularly foster conversations about difficult, important issues on gender-focused law and policy in the United States and abroad, while honing journal editing skills.

Membership Requirements

We meet every other Wednesday during the semester from 12:45 to 2 PM. First-Semester and 1L Members must complete the following each semester:

  • Participate in three article discussions in the Fall semester and four in the Spring semester.

  • Complete three editing assignments (source collect, cite check, line edit)

  • Pay dues ($25/semester, $50/year); dues may be waived for financial hardship, no questions asked

We strive to make membership accessible to students simultaneously working on other journals. If you are a member of another Berkeley Law journal and are interested in joining, we can find a workable solution. Please email us at bglj@berkeley.edu for more information.
